I just got a 2" Performance Accessories body lift for my 1994 Pickup. I guess this is the newer version of this kit because it comes with a steering spline extension and a few others little things. Has anyone installed this version of the lift? If so, any problems encountered? Any advice? I would say that I am fairly mechanically inclined, but the instructions have begun to make me doubt my abilities.

JC Whitney has the 2" and 3" body lifts, but I am not sure if they are the new version with the steering spline extension, so I got 4 wheel parts wholesalers to match the price and they sent the new version. JCW has the lift for almost $25 less.

Sadly enough, I haven't had time to put the lift on yet... college and work have about all of my time occupied at the moment. I think I might try putting it on next week, but still not positive. A friend of mine put the same lift on his 4Runner and put some 33's on it with 15x7 wheels. The lift was enough to clear the tires, so I'm guessing that you should be alright also. I am getting 33's and that is all the lift I'm putting on. If I don't clear the tires, I will probably just crank the t-bars a little and throw some shackles on the rear (cheap lift).

Ahh come on NCSU don't tell me they make you work at that college! I actually went there my first year, assuming your talking about North Carolina State. I love that school. Don't worry about the instructions...people who can't write, write instructions. Stick with what you know and you'll do fine. Later man..go wolfpack. ;D

good to know that there are some other wolfpack fans out there, although today, I am ashamed to be one of them (can't believe that we lost to GT). I wouldn't be too bad off with the workload if I wasn't currently taking 22 hrs. But, it looks like I'll be getting that lift on this week, so I'll post how it goes once finished.

Cool deal. Yeah when I was there it seemed the pack played good against the good teams and bad against the bad teams. made for a sucky season. Althought the games were still fun. I was a chemistry major and took a bunch of hours too. Of course it didn't help as I transfered and lost a bunch of credits. All behind me now though...later

Well, as I also replied in another thread by saying, I finally got my lift and tires installed. I put the lift on last Thursday and got my tires on Friday. I like the lift, everything went smoothly, but I didn't put the steering spline extension in because I didn't really need to, everything was fine. I would have to say, I probably should've gone with the extra $10 for the 3" body lift, because I have a little rubbing in the front when I turn the wheels sharply, but not fully. I might have to do a little torsion bar adjusting, but we'll see. I don't really cut the wheels hard very often, its just mainly when trying to park. But, I do like the overall setup, lift was easy to install, having a welder is nice for the steering extension and the square blocks for the frame under the bed (incase the bed is loaded down, so it doesn't bust the blocks).
