I have a '94 4X4 w/ a 22RE, I want to replace all the fluid in the rear diff, t-case & transmission. Does anyone recommend any particular weight and type? How can I tell if I have a limited slip rear end?

Check the owners manual for info on what gear oil to use. If you have a LSD rear you'd probably know it from driving it, but you can always take the VIN to a dealer and have them decode it for you.

Toyota usually puts a sticker by the filler plud that says use lsd oil only when you have a limited slip dif. Most likely on a 22re i don't think you'll have one. There is also another way to check, in your engine compartment you should have a model plate and you should have several codes on it, engine, transmission, interior, paint etc. Most likely the code your looking for is going to be 'G28x' or 'G29x' ( i can't remember which is common) the x being what type of differential you have.
x=2 is a 2 pinion carrier x=3 is a 2 pinion limited slip ( I have yet to find one) x=4 is a 4 pinoin ( usually on the v-6's) x=5 is a 4 pinion limited slip carrier

lucas is an awesone all purpose oil. you can either use it as a partial additive or use 100% . its good for limited slip, lockers, open rears. I use it in my motor. It really helps. It does not contain any teflon or any other shit like that. Its 100% petroleum. and does not effect manufacturers warranties.
