Alright just another testimony that mud..although fun...sucks. I spent two nights trying to find a squeal coming from under the hood after going diving in some mud. I had to replace the steering pump, water pump (one night), idler bearing, and fan pulley bracket (other night). The offending squealler was the lower idler bearing. Of course the power steering was going out and the fan bracket bearing was gone. I did find a good place for rebuilt toyota stuff.. www.yotayard.comwww.indcreek.com - they rebuild the fan brackets. Doing good so far with one day on it. Got it to my door for $100. Toyota wanted $600 new...just nuts. www.junkyarddog.com is also a great place to find parts you need from salvage yards. Maybe it was time for all those bearings to go..or maybe it was all the mud. Probably both. Right now my engine is as quiet as it ever has been. Gonna keep it out of the mud...for as long as I can resist it. ;D Just nice to drive my truck around without a loud-ghetto-car alarm-sound squeal emitted from the engine.
