I am thinking of getting rid of the 4Runners rear tailgate and window setup. I am thinking of something like a pickup tailgate and canopy rear window setup.
Does anyone have any Ideas, suggestions (besides you crazy), or links with infomation.
Thanks

Yo Sno what do you mean by a canopy? Something like a tarp hanging over the open space? Sure hope your not in cold weather. why do you want to change it? Sure the window motor is busted...most of them do. But it fits and works with your truck. I have seen one guy who made his runner into a baja style truck and put long travel shocks in the rear. The shocks went through the bed. So he stripped the carpet and seat out and closed off the rear right behind the front passenger seats. He also mounted a spare tire in the rear bed that hung out a little like most baja trucks do. Just an idea. Good luck and if you do decide to try something new send in some pics.
Later ;D

Well what I am thinking of putting on the tailgate because my rear power window gets all scrached up during the winter months from all the crap that gets thrown onto the window ... often it doesn't work because it's frozen. Being in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada the toy sees at least 4 months of cold, snow cover roads. I will have to rework the rear canopy to accept a swing up rear window
