Hey guys. I"m ready to do something with my tired old 4 cylinder. I got a 93 pick-up. I was just looking for some suggestion on the engine. Should i rebuild the 4 or should i swap in a 302?? Any suggestion would be great

It all depends on how $ you can spend. You can purchase a 22re rebuild kit for $500.00 from Green Bay Parts World or have your local dude rebuild for several thousand. The 302 short block will fit...but the transmission, transfer case, and engine mounts will probably all have to be replaced. You're basically doing a shoe-in. I would prefer the 302 cause it's a whole lotta engine in a small truck=one ass kickin' rig! Check out crate 302s in Engine Monthly...less $ than custome/otherwise rebuild from a disassembler.
