Solid axle differential's are interchangable front and rear. This is just the center section not the whole axle assemble. When you use a differential intended to be used in the rear of a truck in the front it runs reversed so the it engages on the coast side. This is much weaker. So there are high pinion differential's intended for use in the front with the gear pattern cut in reverse so the coast side is not engaging. Reverse cut gears can only be used in high pinion differentials.

this would apply to a bunch of appl. on the randys ring and pinion it says for the 7.5ifs the gears are revesre cut thats why i asked. is does not just be long in here. thats is why i posted it there.
would you please tell me why it was moved here!!

thats cool but i think it should have stayed in the general 4x4. u dont need to move it again though.
