I have a 94 v6 pickup and lately i have noticed my idle is lower than usual. Another problem Im hearing is sometimes when i start my engine it starts as if its already running. Its does explode to a start it just begins running. Its hard to explain but if anyone knows what im talking about let me know thanks.

Not really sure what the problem is other than sounds like your engine is receiving less fuel on startup and idle. I'm sure you figured this already. Check your fuel system..idle..also check your air filter. Possible clogging could lower your engine performance. Just some guesses.

have you checked your timing recently or make sure your distributor is tight? That sometimes does effect idle speed.

I would also suggest checking the timing. I had been having a problem with my idle being rough and was told to check the vacuum, which is a valid source of rough idle. I checked my timing, but I didn't realize that I was not shorting out the Diagnostic box correctly, like Toyota tells you to do, so I thought my timing was set correctly, but in reality it was way off.
