What is the best (and easiest) way to run wires into the cab from under the hood?

You have several places that you can do this. If you look under the hood on the firewall there are several rubber plugs that cap holes that go into your cab. You can punch a small hole and run your wire through. There are also places where the stock harness will run through the firewall. You can possibly use some of those.

He nailed it...I ran all my wires through the firewall through the plastic plugs. They are black rubbe plugs on either side of the firewall. good luck

I've worked as an installer for a while and I also own a 92 yota. What are you running and where are you trying to go? More details would get you a better answer. If you reply, I will post you back.

I have two sets of Hella 550s. I need to run wires for switches in the center console from the relays under the hood. In my 87 there are two punch out spots that I drilled and put in the switches that came with the kit. Each switch needs three wires (because they light up when activated). The spots are just above the cd player. -Thanks for all your help

Sorry i've been down for a few days. OOPS! I didnt realize you were talking about an 87. It is different than mine. I don't think that I ever worked on one with the dash like yours, not that I remember anyway. Sorry!
