There are bars (torsion bars) coming out the back of the a arm in your front suspension on each side. They will run back towards the transfer case between the frame rails. Follow them and you will find the bolts to adjust them.

;D Just a sugg.... Soak them in PB Blaster for as long as you can before trying to do anything. A couple of times a day for a week will really help you out. Later...

A helpful hint!! Park the truck on level ground while adjusting the torsion bars. Crank them up a little, then roll or drive the truck back and forth a few feet to give the tires a chance to readjust themselves on the ground. Remeasure the distance from the top of the tire to the top of the fender well. Repeat until desired height is acomplished.

By the way. I would suggest that you spend the money and by a set of larger torsion bars instead of cranking up the stock ones. I have a set of 26mm sway-away bars on my 94 pick-up and have installed several other sets on friends trucks. The larger dia. bars can be cranked up higher with out the hardh ride you will get from the stock ones. I think I paid about $120.00 for the set.

Torsion bars are not very hard to replace. I would recomend buying a repair manual for your truck and looking through it. The torsion bars also come with instructions. Just remember to measure the clearence between the tire and fenderwell BEFORE you start to remove the bars. This will give you a good starting point for the new ones. Reading through a repair manual would be worth it even if you don't install the bars yourself.
