I was considering getting a header for my '94 Pickup 22-RE. I had a Hedman on my Bronco that I had prior to the Toyota and I wasn't too impressed. I don't want to spend a fortune on this thing either. So, does anyone have any good experiences, or suggestions on which headers work well for the money (and don't rust immediately, like the Hedman did)?

I've got the LC Engineering header on my '94 22re and I am completely satisified with it, except for the check engine light, but that only seems to be specific to my truck. It's a little under $300, but I'm also a believer in unless you made it yourself, you pretty much get what you paid for. Had it on over two years and no signs of rust. Plus boosted my power a wee bit also.

I have Downey's on my truck. Put a 21/2" exhaust with high flow cat. and muffler behind it and it seems to work well. Alot of people swear by Thorley's.....might wanna check it out. Also NWOR makes one, but I think it's a bit costly.
