cam question

Just wondering who here has a bigger cam in their trucks... What cam, and is there any tricks to installing cams in these trucks. Looking to add a little more power to my baja project

I have built many Ford motors and it looks pretty easy and straight forward on these yota's.

I replaced the cam in my 94 22RE with a cam from Nothwest Off-Road. The one I chose was designed for EFI (supposedly). It is a 250/260 duration with .426 lift on the intake and .440 on the exuast. This cam was supposed to give more power off idle up to 4500 RPM. It does produce more power but not where I wanted it. It's somewhat dead until it hits 3,000 RPM, then it kicks in like a power band on a 2-stroke motocycle.I called NWOR about the problem and there response was we don't manufacter that part so we can't help you. So I called the man. (scheinder cams). Ther response was it was put in wrong. Starting to doubt my own work at this point so I had three other mech. check it out. No problems with installation, vavle adj. timing, fuel delivery, or computer related.
My suggestion would be to call on somebody that it highly knowledgable about what they sell and installs the stuff on a daily basis. I have been highly impressed with D.O.A. racing. I have friends that are using there stuff and there trucks will smoke the tires off of mine or any other toys on the trail.

I am looking into a crane cam. I found one for about 130$ It says its good for 1,400 to 4,800'rs but I still hae not decided
