I am currently running 35 on stock gears, and am looking into new tires stuck between 35/12.5 thornbirds, and 36/12.5 tsl and i was wondering will stock gears push 36's or will i tear something up?

Stock gears, 4.10 in most cases, are actually stronger then higher gear ratio's as there is more meat left in the teeth. The problem will be early clutch failure and lack of power. Thornbirds suck, I've heard nothing but horror stories, defiately go with the TSL's or even the sx's if you can afford it.

Yeah I agree about the thornbirds....DONT GET THEM. I have a friend who had them and he ran them for about a month and hated them. They are heavy, ya cant balance em, they dont self clean as well. Im actually ordering some tsl radial 36's monday. That is my vote and I have been looking around for a while. They onyl thing that will wear with lower gears and bigger tire is your clutch (if manual). Take more burning clutch to get the big meats rolling.
