When I bought this truck it had lights the roll bar so we bought a 12v relay kit for it and hooked it up, but when we tapped into the headlights it doesnt have enough power to work. So I need to find a strong 12v wire that shuts off when I turn my truck off. Also I need to talk to the Snap-on guy thats on here, he said he lived in St. Louis and I need help with my truck, I will try to pay but I dont have a load of cash to spend, livin paycheck to paycheck....

;D Explain what you're trying to do. The lights on the bar sould run off of a switch. The relay should be wired from battery to lights w/ the switch as the "turn on" to the relay. I don't see where the headlights should come into play @ all. Later...

Towin - I think you are putting the 12v to the wrong side of the relay. Your 12v should come straight from your battery to the 12v in on your relay. From the relay the "ACC" lead should go right to the lights.
It works like this... When the 12v from the battery comes into the relay and the truck is off (or the switch is off when the truck is on) the relay is open. That is, there is no connection from the 12v to the lights. When you turn on the truck, you have power to your SWITCH. When you throw the switch, you supply power to the relay and CLOSE the electrical connection from the 12v (battery) to the lights.
So what you are looking for is a line to power your SWITCH that is off when your rig is off. This you can get from just about anywhere like your wipers, radio, cig lighter (i think it shuts off).
I would also install a quick connect inline fuse about 6 inches off of the battery so that you don't do any electrical damage. It is also important to have the right size fuse. I am no electrician, but I think the formula for Amps is something like Watts/Volts.
Good luck!
