I paid $700 for it... 160K miles, no probs at all! The inside is great, runs great, etc, I want to fix it up... turn it into one of them bad ass 4x monsters... well... I want to get a 4" suspension and a 2" body lift... I have heard that certain lifts can be bad for the truck, make them fall apart... or rattle apart. So, I am gonna get it painted, get a lot of chrome, nice tires, etc... well, is this true about the lift? 6" be all that bad for the truck? And what else do I need to know before I start investing money into it? I do not know a lot, I have been reading these foroums though. Thanks! XXXMY88

The lift is fine, I ran 7.5" (4.5" suspension/3" body)with no problems. I'd run 35" tires on 8x10 rims. Before you lift it and all that, i'd at least instal a locker and go ofroading once or twice. Depending how nice your going to purdy up your rig i'd go ahead and do all of the interior work and motor mods before doing the lift... g2g talk to you later.

Hey MX,
Thanks for the reply... why type of motor mods do you suggest? I live in Oregon so there are tons of places to go. I have seen a lot about lockers but what are they? I think they are the hub lockers? I may be wrong.
Thanks for the help! XXXMY88

Well motor mods depend on what you are going to be doing. what will you be doing (ie mudding/trailriding)? this way I can give you a general idea. also what tire/rim/lift combo are you going for? Regearing is mandatory for a larger tire combo, go with some 5.29s if your putting 35"s on. These gears actually put the power on the ground so selection is key. then go for an airfilter, headers, and mufflers. Then you can put a new cam in. but thats a little more that what your wanting to do right now. Lockers are basicaly devices you put in your diferentials to put equal power to the wheels. I have never used locking rims, and never will. later.

;D Junk, this whole post is strange!! My 1st sugg. to anybody w/a new truck is to drive/wheel it before doing anything major. XXX, how do you know you even like the truck?? It may be too small, way underpowered or whatever. Drive it & make sure you like it before dumping a bunch of $$ into it. Seems like you have many goals w/no direction. Slow down a bit & it'll work out for 'ya. Later...
