I was just thinking of doing the tundra fiberglass conversion. Anyone done it? Thoughts \ pics? I mainly want to do it to save some weight. I also need to get tires. My current 33 inch tires look to small under a 4 inch suspension and 3 inch body lift. I was thinking 35s or 36s.Whats your opinion on the tires and fiberglass?

I agree, the lighter the better. Then again fiberglass does'nt dent, it cracks and tears so I think I'll stick with sheet metal, which pretty light anyway. As far as tires, it depends on what you do with it. If it is an stock IFS rig, don't expect the front end to hold up to bigger tires and abusive off roading. My IFS would'nt even hold up to the abuse I was dishing out with 31's. I would go no bigger then 35's with mild wheeling.

It is true that fiberglass breaks, and doesn't dent. But I do mainly sand (as the name implies ). Some trails but no rocks and no mud. Couldn't even do mud if I wanted over here. Thanks for the advice though. I guess I'll try some 35's. I take it you performed an axle swap? Some more future plans
