I just bought the old man emu steering stabilizer to replace the old my the front of my 88 pickup. i also rented a pickle fork/tierod puller. i had no problem unbolting the one side of the shock, and i pulled the pin and the castle nut from the other side. and i can get the pickle fork in between the shock and tierod , even get it to back out slightly, but i just freakin can't get it to pop out all the way like i read for the directions www.yotatech.com/~corey/tech/joey_ome/joey.htm and now after i was pulling and pressing on the shock and pickle fork i broke off the the shock right below where it goes into the hole. so now i am driving around with no stabilizer til i can figure a way to get it out. Any suggestions??!!

you are hitting the end of the pickle fork with a hammer right.

torch it off. When all else fails grab the torch. If there is nothing in your way that you can damage with the heat. How much did that set you back . I need a new one to. I would atleast try to heat it up.
