I have a 1994 toyota pick up with a 22-RE engine, it had low oil presure, so I put in a new oil pump and new timming chain while I had it taken apart, but I forgot to prime the oil pump
Long story short, I spun a bering and have decided to just buy a remanufactured long block engine and swap it. I was wondering if any one had some helpfull hints not in a repair manual about the swap, and a good place to buy the new engine
Thanks

A buddy of mine bought a 22-RE Longblock out of some outfit in Spokane, WA for like $1,200 (including core return). I don't remember the name of the place, but you could probably find it. It was a reman block and new head and all gaskets needed for installation were included. They had a pretty decent warranty as well. As for advice on the installation... its kind of a pain.. Mostly time consuming. The EFI components can all stay in one piece when the motor is out and easily swapped from one to another. The wire harness is kind of a pain as well to remove and reinstall, small hands are a benefit. My only recommendation is to label all the bolts you remove. It can save a lot of time. But for the most part its an easy job. We did it in a weekend. Let us know what happens.
