I've got a '94 with the 22RE and I got the drop in filter for mine. It does a little bit to the truck, but nothing too exciting. The sound is basically the same, except for a little more of an air suction type of noise from the increased flow. I cut a hole (air box mod) in my air box and that definitely made a difference in the sound and a good bit more for acceleration and power. You should check out the thread about the airbox mod in "Cheap Tricks". I also have 2 pictures of the mod on my website: www.cardomain.com/id/mndanielsncsu

Maybe a little better performance. But as NCSU said nothing too exciting. However one benefit is K&N's are washable and recharghable. So if you buy it you won't ever have to buy another one.

;D As above. I noticed no difference on my '88 3L. But, for whatever reason, I like the ability to maintain my own filter. Later...
