I've always wanted to make some tube doors or get some for a truck. I found some that are made by AOR, but naturally, they want like $200 or so for them. How hard would it be to make some like the ones in the pic or are there other companies that sell less expensive ones? I don't have access to a welder, so I'd have to find someone that does or that would do it for me, but I wanted to see how much I'd have to sink into this idea.

yeah, Banshee5 I think is the member name, they did it with some of the 2nd generation Toyota doors. I like that idea, but for some reason, junkyards around here are extremely high priced, so I didn't even bother calling around to them. They wanted like $140 for 1 seat I know, that had been rained on for months. But yeah, I wish I did live near you because I'd really like some tube doors or to find some regular doors to cut

AOR 4x4 shows me a price of 280. Here's a pic. Notice the little guard over the hinges. Sw tube works makes them for 200. Notice only 2 bars in the pic as opposed to three bars. The ones in your pic i believe are sw tubes works. SW Tube Works Scott Wood 1335 Jeannie Ln. Paradise, CA 95969 (530) 521-2800 E-mail: dirtbag711@aol.com

yeah, SW was what brand I meant, not AOR... SW is what I have shown in that pic. I really like them, I am now debating ordering some once I get back from my semester abroad and summer is closer

I guess that if i didnt have a welder, and wanted to buy tube doors, i would go with the ones from AOR. Yes they are more expensive, but they look a whole lot nicer cause of the cover plate over the hinges, and also look thicker, an more strudy. BTW does anybody have the website for SW, just to check them out?

Do you like the design of the SW tube doors? Because if you do just go with those. To make your own you would need to buy steel, cut it, bend it, weld it and paint it. And in the end they may not look as nice. And to have a shop do all that you're probably looking at a high price too. I like doing my own fabrication too, but if you have no welder (or pipe bender, or cutting tools) you're SOL.

How much do y'all think supplies would cost to make these doors? Where would I get tubing like that also? I am not familiar with where to buy heavy duty steel/metal?

Not very expensive. And its doubtful if those tube doors are made with anything stronger than just mild steel tubing, which works fine. I'm not familiar with your area, but i buy my stock at a local welding shop. Steel is relatively cheap to buy too. I'd say you're looking at probably around $20-$30 for materials.
