;D With you Carlos! People, we cannot help w/your problem if WE DON"T KNOW WHAT WE"RE WORKING ON/WITH to start . Did you do something(wheel bearings, new hubs) before/after the problem started? I personally have no problem reading a paragraph long post that has GOOD INFO to help w/a problem. W/o info, no good can come of this. Later...

Yea nice long paragraphs full of info are better than short quick explainations.

sorry for the short explanation. Ok about three months ago i put new boots on my half alxe on the drivers side. Up until just yesterday everything worked great. I locked in the 4 wheel drive yesterday to come up the driveway, and the 4 wheel wasn't working. after seeing the everything to the wheels was spining I decided it must be in the hubs themselves. I removed the hubs to see that the keeper for the axle had slipped and was not seated in the hub entirely. My only thought was that the keeper was bad but i dont really see how. What do you guys think, it this something that just wears out over time?

;D I'm guessing you're talking about the "c-clip" on the end of the stub axle. My thoughts lean to it being "spread out" on the boot install. Are we on the same page here? BTW, Carlos, "paragraph long" & "long paragraph" are WAY different. Later...

yes the c clip, that wa my thought to thanks. I have talked to parts stores and they act like im stupid asking for it though. I tried using pliers and squeezing it back down but it just spreads back out to where it was when i put it back. I did get a hold of some snap rings of the same size(maintenance at work) I think i'll try that unless there is a reason why i shouldn't?
