when taking the tape off, try to heat it up as much as possible. using a hair dryer works the best. if it's leaving a residue afterwards try "goop off" it works pretty good. i used some to remove the glue that was left over after i took off my bug deflector

I used the same tape when I sprayed in my bed liner. One thing we use is rubbing alcohol. Just put a little on a rag and wipe it down. The alcohol disolves the glue from the tape. Once you have done that you can wax it and it will not dull. I did not have a dulling problem when I used it..... GL
