Yes I got the '95 4runner v6. It was a kill deal they gave me what I wanted trade in on my Tacoma and I walked out with over 2 grand and a truck. I got it because of its price vs others in the area was similar and it had about 40k less miles on it. I talked with the Yota dealer today and they ran the vin stating that my baby is good to go as far as the gaskets go. I got to put on new front brakes and it needs tires and shocks as well. After the brake job Im gonna put on a superlift 4" kit with a skid plate and brake line adjustment. I am looking at the BFG's MT radials at 32x11.50 since I really don't want to have to fuck with my shit anymore than I have to. I can always go up once I wear out the 32's I figure they are a good start since I'd have to drive about 200 miles to get to the good mud spots (God bless desert monsoons) and I still need an intown tire that won't wear as fast as say the super swampers. Im getting 5 at like 1200 with the Eagle Alloy 589 Rims. Thats mounted balanced lugs locks stems. Im probably gonna put on a black grill guard with lights as well. Now this is just the start to get me going well for a bit I'll probable add more as I go (since im almost at 4k now). Now my question is a. is this good mods to start out with and am I missing anything besides the basics (fire extinguisher, tools, etc.)? b. Im also looking for a place to put my spare since I don't think it will fit underneath. I've talkedf to the guys at the local 4x shops and they pretty much tell me that all they can get is a roof rack with a tire mount. I was hoping to be able to find a swing away tire carrier for the back as opposed to the roof rack with tire mount. Does anyone know where I can buy one for the 95 4runner or am I gonna have to be stuck with the roof rack? Let me know your opionions and what you all think. I want to thank you all for the help. Can't wait to hit the trails!!!!!!
