Im still trying to decide to do either a SAS or just add lift to my craptacular IFS lol. What size of tire do u think i could fit with a 4"lift with a 3"body and the T-bars cranked. Right now i have my bars fully cranked with 31s and looks like i can fit 33. I guess i could do a lil fender trimming and add some bushwackers or something. I think that i could fit at least 37s, but what im tring to reach is my goal of 39s. Laterz

I'm running 35's on my truck with a 4" suspension and 3" body lift. Mine's an 85 so I don't have the T-bars. Which toruqing all the way up will stiffen your suspension and give you a rougher ride.
I do have a set of 38 1/5" tires that I've wheeled with. I just have to be careful not to stuff the tire in too far.

I think it depends on what you really want the tires on for. Do you just want them on for looks, or are you trying to do it for the practibility of off-roading. If you're doing it just for looks then just go with the ifs lift, body lift, and a little fender trimming. but if you're goal is to have an awesome offroad machine then i think you should save up and go sas. Plus a sas'd vehicle is much easier to lift then a ifs one. And it it performs better overall offroad. my couple 2 or 3 cents worth.

Im lookin for both looks and offroad, but its more like every other weekend offroading and goin to the beach nothing serious. Couple days ago i came across a 88 4Runner with just a 4"suspension and 3" body and was running 38 swampers, so i figure that with the T-bar crank i already have and with a lil trimming i should be able to fit the 39s.

well, only one way to find out for sure, and that's to do it to it. I'd still go with a locker for at least the rear if you can spare the 200 bones. But either way keep us informed and post some pics when you get it complete. Good Luck!
