Hello guys; My 87 xtra-cab has a stock 22RE and stock automatic tranny; I'm currently running a 4 suspension lift with 1.5" ball joint spacers and shackles to clear 33x14.50 swamper SSRs what gears should I go with to get the power back to stock or slightly more. I drive a lot on the freeway and don't do much offraoding except a dirt road or two.

I don't deal with automatics much, but I believe that you want 4.88 gears.

i am not sure on the auto either but i am running 33 by 11.50 on my manual and i am going to buy 5.29. it should be running at 2,900 at 55 mph in 5th. if i go with 4.88 it is going to be about 300 rpm less.

For 33" tires, 4.88 on a manual trans, 5.29 on an auto trans.
