I had a quick qestion about a header. I am going to purchase one and am leaning more towards Hedman Headers. My question is that my y pipe is cracked and apparently this was always a problem for the 22re. What should i do about this as i dont want to buy another one and have it keep cracking on me. thanks

Won't the header eliminate the pipe along with the manifold.

Headers used to come with a new gasket, if it doesn't, get one.
What does Heddman's website say about gasket and Y-pipe?

Hedman has a ball style collector that has no gasket. it comes with one for the head part. You just cut off the Y and weld the collector on at the right angle. It's pretty simple I did it myself in an hour and even flux welded it and I never really welded before but it looked good.

THey are good headers. I have been running mine for about 4 years without problems. Mine came with 3 hole flanges, which suck because they leak. I cut that crap out and welded in a ball style collector off a stock mustang header. Seals up great now.
