Another HELP

Well I told ya'll about my headlight problem.Going down the road this morning and the heater blower stops working for about 30seconds,headlights blink off and back on,gas gauge goes to empty and the alternator belt pully starts screemimg.Pull the alt. off and have it checked (O.K.),said the bearing was going out.Do you think this could be the headlight problem to start with? Getting a new one on Sunday.I'll let you know what goes on next.

If the alt is bad you're going to have charging problems, like the things you discribed.

Sounds like a diode in the alternator is going bad. They are part of the built in volt. regulator. I had a simialar problem once when i caked my alt full of mud and water! It was causing my system to be overcharged at 18 volts. A definate no bueno situation!
