so i finished restoring my truck and now my gas milage is around 16 mpg. i used to get around 20/21. the only thing i changed that could affect this is a 2" body lift. my engine light is on and the codes are for my tps and knock sensor and i know they have alot to do with gas milage but they were also on before the restore so i dont get it. any ideas? thanx

Well, i would do the obvious and more then likely those two trouble areas are lowering your fuel economy.
Also...did you bump up to a larger tire? Since the larger tire takes more time complete a full rotation then a smaller one it will throw off your speedo and odometer. When i went from a wore out 31 to a new 33 mine dropped as well due to the change in speedo and odometer readings thus resulting in a false fuel economy reading when doing the math mileage divided by gallons.

Knock sensor will pull timing and power thus requiring more throttle to get anywhere. Reset the computer (disconnect battery for 3min) see if the codes go away. If not you'll have to fix them to regain milage.
