I was wondering what the EGR does and if you have to have 1 for the engine to run right because I broke my EGR tube when i was cleaning all the black goo out of my intake...I was thinking that i could just make a block off plate 4 it.

Egr is for emissions purposes. If you dont have to run through any smog test in your county or state then yea why not. The only thing with the EGR system is that you might throw a trouble code or two. But not too sure how that would go with the OBD I system and the EGR.

OK... I think i will try it and see how it goes...I live in KY we don't believe in emissions tests

And FYI, EGR stands for Exhaust Gas Recirculation. ;D
