I just bought this truck and like the power of the v6 but I'd like to get a little more tire under it. I'm thinking a 28" would be fine for me and the truck. A suspension kit would probably be to much, but who can complain about more ground clearance? Using hockey pucks to lift the body sounds easy until I start thinking about finding the right length/grade bolts. But then there has to be a body lift kit for less than $100 bucks right? Sounds easy enough, should only take a day to do, right? what about steering column, and fuel filler neck and other lines and wires? :shootme: Please someone who has experience doing this give me some heads up , Thanks

Take out one bolt from the cab..Then one from the bed, cause they are 2 different lengths..If you go with a 3 in body, add 3 inches to the bolts in the rear and cab..The size in diameter does not have to be the same, because buts go on the back sides of them all...Even the cab..The only difference is, that the cab will tread from the bottom up to the top, and the bad will slip up from the bottom..PS the bed is a lil hard cause of that lip under there that the bolt hides behind..But you can do it..I went to Lowes to get all my bolts/washers/nuts...Get a few extras too, just to be safe. I would tell you the sizes that I used, but its been a year..
You will need to extend the hose from your power steering cooler/pump that bolts to the body under the grill on the driver side..Take loose all break lines from the frame and the gas line will be ok i think..It was on my 88..
Another thing is..I "DID NOT" use a body lift that was designed for my truck...I got one from my buddy that was on a 91 K-5 Blazer..The only difference was the diameter of the blocks..The ones for toyotas are smaller, but the bigger ones from the blazer worked just fine and to me are stronger than those little thin ones for Yota's...
