Alright guys..I did the 3" body on my 88 and I had to cut the shifters and add 3inches of extention to them..I caught hell trying to get them bent with out hittin the actual body the truck round the edges where the floor plate screws down..After doing all that the truck never actually shifted as tite as it did stock..What Im askin is has anyone ever had to extend the sticks on 89-94?? As long as it want pop out of gears and 4 wheel low like my 88, I can deal with it...So let me know something guys

Is it popping out of 2nd, 4th, and 4lo only? If so check to see if the shifters are too close to the brace in the middle of the boot hold down plate. If the boot is getting bunched up between the shifter and the brace then it will push it out of gear. If this is the problem then you can either bend the shifters some if they don't need much more room. Or you can cut the brace off.

The 88 og mine has no brace in the middle..Under the plate it's all open from the fron to the back..All one piece around the outside, but its only rubber in the middle where you say there is a brace..May be different on the 94 though

Another thing is after extending my 88 3 inches on the sticks..I realized that I only needed 2 inches of extention instead of 3..It was a 3 inch body, so I thought 3 inches would work, but I was wrong..@ would have meen way better cause of the "S" bend in the sticks

Try bending the shifters some and see if it helps keep the boot from getting bunched up. The t-case shifter you should be able to put into 4hi. Remove the knob and slide a pipe over the over the shifter and pull it back. The tranny shifter you'll probably have to remove and bend in a vice.
Another thing you could try is flipping the boot upside down. It should work. It's just a matter of if you like the look of it that way.

I'll def. keep all that in mind..Ill more than likely add some length like I did on my 88..Is 3 inches Ok? Or should I go with 2..? Another thing was, I added the extentions to the upper end of the shifter right below the plastic stick..It was not the proper bend..Should I weld the extentions nearest to the tranny or nearest the stick...This will be my last question..I know u guys are tired of me asking..lol
