I, speaking for myself did not make fun of any of your stuff. I was saying that colosusidiot's stuff was stupid. My truck is not dented, has no rust, and is not beat at all.

Jamride, this was never intended for you... All you ever did was talk about how great colosus was when in fact everyone disagreed with you.... As for the girl thing, it was a joke hence seeing the smiling face... You guys are so uptight on everything, ironic how everyone on the board gets along till you 2 show up... My simple questions were just that simple questions. They werent questions involving a guy trying to tell me how much he knows about tacos. If you dont know what the answer is to the question, heres a piece of advice, don't answer. You can give hints on your asumptions or what you think, but dont tell me straight that it wont work.
And no jamride its obvious you dont like what your told on here as you are the one bitching and complaining right now. Nobody was talking crap about your trucks, it was about colusus "ingenius" ideas to do the 6 inch body lift. You guys go ahead doing your great "lifts" and go onto another forum to cause some havoc. Nobody likes the wannabe know it alls.

I heard that...I give my sencerest apologies....Never the less, im still open to all the critisizm that may come forth.. I hope you guys dont give colosus too much of a hard time..He's a great person to ask Q's on lifts..Ive never known him to not figure things out on his own or do what it takes to get the job done, so I guess he has lots of pride..I mean he's built some beautiful trucks..!! and is a great friend too..

PLEASE READ ALL THE WAY THROUGH BEFORE BEING OPINIONATED!
To start off with........... Micahturner, I just want to say sorry for any inconvenience and apologies for everyone here and hope that you do plan to still stick around. If there are anymore questions that you have or have not been answered yet, please feel free to start a new thread to ask them and hopefully it will go better. Again, sorry for any inconvenience this may have been.
Well I'm just tired of this shit going on. This was a simple question about bumpers and body lifts, but instead had turn into some kind of grudge match. This is a 3 page thread that has hardly any help mentioned toward the question originally asked.
This was a fairly peaceful board till jamride and colosusabbott showed up. And no I'm not placing blame on you either. It was more then likely just the mix of who all was posting. Something mentioned and taken the wrong way or whatnot. I will say that colosusabbott did start out with a little bit of an attitude when he first joined. I have already PMed him about it, mostly cuz of what's been going on in this tread, and so far it seems he's been being a good boy ;D. Of course now jamride is getting the attitude, but I do understand that you're just trying to defend your friend and that is fine. It could be done a little nicer, although I know that sometimes it gets hard to be nice anymore.
I definitely don't expect everyone to agree on the same thing. Even us mods don't always agree, but we don't make a grudge match out of it either. For a few examples I remember a few years ago fourwd1 and I didn't agree on something (don't recall what it was), but we just gave our opinions on the subject and let the tread go on. Also just this past week or so, sean and I did somewhat the same thing on the subject of shackles. And again a few years ago L8sho2003 (a member) and I got into a disagreement about something (I think it had to do with lockers and deep mud puddles and swamps), but we took our differences into sending PMs back and forth a few times and realized that something was just taken wrong or misread. This 1) let us talk out the problem, and 2) let the thread be fully clear of useless arguing.
As far as this whole thread, IMHO is almost a waste of breath to read and not just cuz of jamride and colosusabbott. There are a few other members that I don't agree with either. This site is here to help out ALL Toyota 4x4's, not just trail wheelers or rock crawlers, even though that is what most of us do. If it's a mall wheeler we're here to help them. Hell if they want to build it up and just to let it sit and rust away in there driveway, we are here to help them. As long as it's a Toyota 4x4, we're here to help you out with any problems, information, or advice you may need. We have even helped a few 2WD Toyota pickup owners with their problems. Hopefully this will be the end of all this shit. This thread will be locked and no one will be able to reply to it anymore.
Now as for jamride's and colosusabbott's rigs I just want to say that you can build them how ever you want. That's your option just like everyone else here has their option on how to build their rig. Jamride, your rig actually does look nice from what I can see of it in your avatar. The rear end does seem to be sitting a little low, but that could be just from the angle of the picture was taken at.
Colosusabbott, your rig I couldn't tell you one way or the other what think about it cuz I have not seen it. As far as the 6" BL on it this would be a stupid thing to do, especially when using piping instead of tubing (FYI (for everyone) yes there is a difference). But now knowing that this is a show rig, if done right it might be ok, but I'd still rather use tubing IMHO. Jamride says that you've made a few nice looking rigs so it could just be that.
I will say that I'm not much for owning a really high (or even lowered) vehicles, but I still like to look at them. I what you can call me a modification freak. I love to look at all different kinds of modified things. Doesn't mater if it's a vehicle or not. As a matter of fact I would like to still take a look at yours and give you MHO on how it looks. So if you'd like to PM me a few pics then please do so. Same with jamride, I'd like to see a few more/better pics of yours too.
EVERYONE, for now on in the future if you have something to say that's about someone or someones rig that might start another grudge match please do so over a PM and keep the threads clean for helping others out. That what we're all here for anyways.
Thanks, DP

The reason i didnt get caught up in bickering in this thread is for the very reason mention by deadly, we are friendly board open to all walks of toyota4x4.
But i will comment that pipe used for anything structural is not only not ok for a street driven vehicle, it is against the law. For interest sake anyone can search the difference in tensile strength between pipe and tube. Its no joke.
One last note, trail trucks although they may look beat up to some arent the 500 beaters some people in this thread make them out to be. Axles, lockers, gears, drivelines, transfercases, trannys, clutches, engines, suspension and steering, this stuff adds up quick. Dont go judging a book by its cover. Or a trail rig by its dents.
