I dont get it. They have play in them? What does that mean? Do they torque up or not? if the guy just has them in hand tight and thinks they are loose that is meaningless.

from what he said, he torqued them up and said they had play and might work it's way loose..

If someone tapped a larger hole the bolts would never torque up. I dont understand how they can have play and be torqued up. Use blue locktite and call it a day. If you are really parinoid use red.

No, thats the spec for tranny to engine bolts. For flexplate to torque converter its like 20ft/lbs.

Not to say that you don't need this bolt, but I drove my truck for about six months without that bolt and nothing ever happened. My bolt flew off at some point, but the pulley never did.

thought therew were like 5 or so bolts lol
but just got off the phone with him, he said they dont bite to thread in as either the bolts are too skinny or some reason owner before me did something stupid like tap the thread for a bigger bolt.. my old bolts are too far gone to even use,

It wouldnt shock me to find out you got the wrong bolts. I have had issues with Toyota hardware not matching old stuff, or two distinctly different parts in the diagram carry the same part number(front wheel studs). Probably you got the smaller bolts off the older models. Try a hardware store and match to your old bolts in a 10.9 grade. That maybe a longshot though as flexplate bolts tend to have a larger the normal head and are very short. The alternative is calling your dealer back and getting them to get you the right part.

hey sean got both part numbers for the i4 and the v6 i4 bolts are 8x125 bolt and the v6 bolt is 9x125, does that mean its thicker or just an inch longer?
didnt think to see if the part number for the 22ret was the same as the i4..

8 and 9 are the width, 8 mm and 9mm. Thats the thickness of the bolt itself though, and is not representitive of the head size.
