Ok, so I've been kicking around the idea of making door panels, interior panels out of diamond plate. How do you guys think this would look? Have any of you done it?

I think if you painted it or maybe even something like Herculiner would look cool. I put diamond plate with Herculiner only on the bottom half of the door though.

I agree with rockcrawlintoy. Assuming we are talking aluminum. This guy did them i think with painted diamond plate steel and they arent what i would build, but to each their own. I agree. Why use diamond plate and then spray over it. I assume we are talking aluminum. Using diamond plate steel would be heavy and look meh... I always preferred plain old tube.

I rode in a truck that had door panels made out of diamond plate aluminum once, in the summer. If your leg or arm is gonna touch it, it WILL be hot.
