I'm working on a '93 p/u 2.4L, and it's hunting at idle (RPM's flutter up and down). Anyone know the most likely cause of this?

There could be several things. First off check vacuum. Generally you will get idle surges from vac leaks. I know mine used to surge when the brake was applied the same time as the ac was on. If thats not it clean out your throttle body with some cleaner, run some seafoam through her, check your power steering fluid.

I got a 91 thats doing the same thing, I haven't pin-pointed the exact location but i know that the problem is being caused by a vacuum leak somewhere on the intake manifold. You might also check the throttle position sensor to make sure its working right.
