from what i have heard chips aren't worth the money. go exhaust, headers, intake, injectors. the little stuff and you can get more horses.

but by the time you do intake, headers, exahust etc, your stock computer wont know how to adjust everything to get the most out of those mods. It just wasnt programed with parameters that go that high. which is why a chip makes LOTS of sence AFTER you have done all those other mods.

the chip that they make for your truck isn't worth the 400 dollars. Go with headers or exhaust for the performance. redtoy92

chips do help. the claims the chips make are not always the truth (at least not in every case). there is a venom 400 and a jet chip avaliable. they have similar specs and from what im told the venom chip is not always active. just under strain. of course if thats true it translates to more mpg but loss of pow gain at low rpm

do you have the chip? If so maybe you just want to think it helps!. the chips for the tacomas have had almost all bad reviews by anybody who had spent their money on them

I RECENTLY UPGRADED TO AN 05 FROM A 00 LIMITED EXTENDED W/ TRD BLOWER, HEADERS, EXHAUST, CLUTCH. WHEN LOOKING INTO CHIPS FOUND OUT THAT IF YOUR GOING TO PUT ONE IN ITS NOT WORTH DOING IT UNLESS DONE RIGHT. MEANING, IGNITION UP GRADES, PLUS THE COST OF THE SHIT (I MEAN CHIP), AND THE PROPER INSTALL. E&R PERFORMANCE WAS ONE OF MANY PLACES TO TELL ME THAT WHEN CHIPS ARE ADDED TO MODS THEY NEED TO BE HARMONIZED TO PEAK IN CONJUNCTION TOGETHER (PINGING, ETC.)OTHERWISE U MAY AS WELL PUT 400 DOLLARS IN FAST LOOKING STICKERS ALL OVER YOUR TRUCK.
