I don't have a Taco, but I'm fairly familiar with them. Based on the components you mentioned it seems that he installed the trailmaster kit per normal insructions and inserted the coil spacers from Revtek for the addtional lift just as you would with the stock suspension.

I dont know Jonathan personally but I have conversed with him many times using email. I believe he has sold the truck. I do have a 2000 Tacoma setup very simular to his using the Trailmaster lift plus a coilover. This with a body lift has gained me 12inches of lift. His setup does have a spacer but now uses Fox coilovers and the Trailmaster. What did you want to know?

well i think coilovers would ride rather rough and i want a smoother ride....i was wonderin if i got the 6" trailmaster lift with a 3" body lift and put 1.5" spacers in front and 1.5" shackles in the rear if i could clear 37's without rub......not sure what size rim i should use and how wide i can clear??

I Think using the Trailmaster lift coupled with a 3 inch body lift and 1 1/2 spacer with the 1 1/2 shackle would be enough to use 37's. I have 37x12.5 with a 15x10 inch rim. I dont know the rim offset but I would guess about an 8. I currently have the 6in Trailmaster, 3in Body lift and 3in coilovers and have plenty of room for up to 39in tires. The coilovers do have a better ride than the Bilstein TRD shocks. If you plan to crank the coilovers all the way down I suppose the ride would be rougher. If I had the money I would have done away with the rear 3in block,1 3/4in shackle,2in add a leaf and replaced them with a Alcan leaf pack plus went with the Fox coilovers vs the Sway A Way's. The Fox's get rid of the Trailmaster spacer for a cleaner look. So the width of your tire would depend on the rim offset using the Trailmaster and a body lift plus the spacer and shackle. I have NO rubbing with what I have now. Got any other questions let me know!
