The carpet on my passenger side floorboard is always soaked when it rains and smells real bad after a few days of sitting.. i read a few topics on this but they were all about the driverside. Could it be anything on the passenger side besides the leaking plugs and ac hose?? I've also got a 3" body could this contribute to anything?? Thanks ya'll

Q. Have you done any fender trimming? If so did you cut or remove the plastic fender liner? If so rain might be coming through the front of the door and getting past the weather strip......just a thought

Try this turn on your AC and crank it up to see if it gets cold.If it doesn't have the system checked for leaks. And just to make sure I understand correctly...You don't smell antifreeze at all ...correct? This is only when it rains? Also check the passenger side windshield the moulding may be failing.Just take a water hose and lay it over the roof and let the water run over the passenger side for a little while to see if it's getting through there.

Hmm... didn't work.. no water what so ever. The only other thing i could think of would be the plugs under the carpet..

Hmm... didn't work.. no water what so ever. The only other thing i could think of would be the plugs under the carpet.. If the plugs are still there just pull them up and put a bead of RTV(black gasket maker) around the lip then put them back.If they're gone go get replacements and do as stated above.I did this as well to my truck and I drive through very deep water(3 to 4 1/2 ft) to get to my fishing camp. Let me know how you make out with this.

Here's another thought.... Where the water comes in from the slits in cowling in front of the window for the intake (where the heater pulls in fresh outside air) there is a gutter for the water to flow down and out underneath each DS & PS fender. The water collects right in the corner of this "gutter" and just sets until after 20 plus years of water collection, rusts the corner out.
Here a link to how Fearofrunner had this problem and how he fixed it. Scroll down to the second set of pics on the page, pics of fender removed (it goes on to the first post on the 14th page). board.marlincrawler.com/index.php?topic=30308.330
