The cornfed spacer lift isn't that big a deal if you have some working knowledge of trucks and some tools. You will however need to compress the front springs to do this. If you are unsure of anything then seek some local help such as some mechanic friends or a local 4x4 shop. Spring compression isn't a big deal if you know what your doing but can be dangerous if your unsure of how to do it. Maybe some other guys on here who have done the spacer lift can give you more info. I know several guys running the 3" spacer and 3" BL combo and it works ok for them to run bigger tires. It is also a good cheap alternative for lifting a taco.

i just did the Cornfed 2.5" it wasnt to bad, you will have to take the fronts to a tire shop, like NTB, call first and see if they have a Hydrolic spring compressor, they may charge ya about $15 per spring, but its soo worth it, make sure they line it up right, but its doable. Ric

as a matter of fact i just got done installing the cornfed 3 inch and it was a piece of cake. my advice is that if you dont have an impact wrench , to get one b/c it makes it a whole lot easier and i rented a spring compressor from pep boys for about thirty dollars and it only took about three hours to install the whole thing.

I am about to buy the cornfed 3" lift and was told it is easier with air tools. I am goin to rent a spring compressor but is it even possible with hand tools. I was also thinking about getting a body lift too to fit bigger tires. Does anyone have a recomendation for an easy to install body lift, and with the 3" cornfed lift what are the biggest tires i could fit with the cornfed lift and the body lift put together.

With 3" Cornfed, 3" BL, and 35's you WILL rub, but it isn't too bad. That is basically what I am running(I have the Revtek kit) and I rub with my 35's off-road. To fully clear them you need 8-9".
