On Dec 10, 2006 I posted a thread here that the frame on my 1998 taco had failed due to rust. I ended up selling that truck (which at the time booked over 5000) for $1800 because my mom wouldn't let me keep it in the back yard.
On March,?, 2008 I found out that toyota is buying these things back at rediculous prices.... ouch-it burns bad!!!!!
I went from owning the best truck on the road to OWING on a chevy. I just sold the chevy and am trying to get back into a taco but am finding that the prices on the same 98 i bought back in 03 are HIGHER now than when I bought mine 5 years ago!!!! crazy..
anyone have any tips for getting my hands back on a good ol yota without breaking the bank??? I'm saving gas on a ZX6R right now but come winter It'll be chilly on that thing.

I feel for you. I just beat the hell out my 99 frame to see if all was well and well all is.I also talked to our rep. and found out that under 14% of the trucks sold were affected.
I have found plenty of them for sale on e-bay and craigslist ect for around the same amount that they've been selling for.But the real good deals aren't staying listed very long.
