i've got old man emu 5 leaf pack (a 2" lift) for my 96 tacoma on the way, i know i can't use my stock rear shocks but i was wondering if it would be a good idea to save money on shocks by getting pro-comp shocks or if i really need the OME brand shock they reccommend for their leaf pack? i could save $100 by getting the pro-comp. anyone experienced or familiar with OME stuff?

I have a ome lifd on my 02 Tacoma now im having to take it back to have it lifted more 2" in the front. The people that lifted mine said that the only way that ome would cover there lift products & there shocks are matched up with there spring sets.I had the complete set put on my truck. It still rides like it did befor it was lifted.I wouldnt have to have it lifted anymore if I would have went with the ome 991 insread of the ome 990

Get the OME shocks. Along w/their springs you'll ride better than new.
Don't waste your $ on Pro-Crap stuff.

i meant rancho Rs5000. but i have to send them back now cause i got the ones for 1-1.5" lift and what im now lead to believe is i need them for 3" lift, so now the longer ones are one the way..... i'll post how they ride once theyre on. i suggest just going with OME shocks if you get OME spring packs because that wouldve been less hassle (b/c its one kit) if i did that in the first place.
