Hey guys, i know there is ton's of forum's about CV's and stuff and them going out, but i can't find any here in the tacoma forum. Today when i went to go get my mail, i put it in 4 hi and 4 lo, just to get the oil and grease moving around.
When i put it in 4 hi I didn't notice anything strange, except it took a while for it to engage after I let the clutch out. Not a big deal. When i stopped to put it in 4 lo, it worked fine until I turned the wheel, once i turned the wheel, it started to make a humming noise, and i could feel a slight vibration. It wasn't a overpowering vibration. I then wondered if maybe it was just 4 lo. It's not as obvious as 4 lo, but there is still some vibration. Do i have a CV going out? I got the truck about a year ago and i haven't greased anything, but I'm mainly in 2wd.
I'm just looking for some advice on what it could be so i can start problem shooting.
Thanks

Yeah....usually i'm on gravel, but i moved into some apartments so all i have is pavement.....but that makes sense......
I looked in my chilton manual and they don't talk much about CV's except for the fact that you need to check the boots for cracks or puncutres, and mine are still clean and intact....are there any grease fittings to grease the CV's?
