got my 3 inch cornfed on and it turned out ok. i was hoping for a little more height than i got but overall its ok. it does appear to sit a tiny tiny bit lower in the front than the back though. not much at all just enough to bug me. way less than hte factory stance though. any body else have this prob? also it does not look like 33s will clear all that well on mine maybe its just me though. could you guys with 3 inch corn feds and 33s post some picks for me to llok at or email em to me thanks

Did you install the factory gasket on top of the spacer if you didn't that means you only have the 2.5 in the front and you should clear 33's I have them and they only rub a little bit when wheelin

yeah i put the rubber gasket back on. the only thing i left off was the factory top plate with the studs and the rubber gasket that was under it. my spacer had a gasket on it and the instructions said with the 3inch use only one .25 inck gasket. its no where near half an inch diffrent in front.maybe i have a little spring sag in front they do have 134k on them. could be my brush gaurd to i guess. or maybe its just me. anyway could you post or send me a pick of your truck ? do you think i put my spacers on wrong. i followed the directions letme know thanks

I did the same thing you HAVE to put the factory rubber gasket from the top factory plate cut the holes out and put it on top of the cornfed spacer the gasket they give you goes on the bottom and then you will have the 3" lift

how does that little gasket give you a half inch more lift? the directions didnt say anything about useing that top plate gasket on top of the spacer . i called cornfed and the one time i got some body to answer the phone he said something about putting it on the bottom with the other gasket the spacer came with and he said i shoulnt put iton top. i dont know if he knew if i had the 3 inch or not. im really confused on what i should do.should i put it on top or take it all apart and put it on bottom. is the spacer not 3 inches the way it comes? you say this happened to you hoodlum? well let me know exactly what you did . i would think putting it on top would be right cause i thought the metal on meatal was kinda weird anyway let me know what to do cause im really confused thanks

I have mine like this 1.cornfed gasket 2. the spacer 3.I cut holes out so the bolts go through the factory gasket to prevent metal to metal that you mentioned the cornfed spacer is 2.25 in. his gasket is .25 in. the factory gasket is .5 in. (it doesn't look it) but measure the thickest part I wheeled it this past wknd and loved it if it was to go on the bottom oh well I like how I have it and don't plan on changing it if a problem does arrive I'll inform everyone but don't see it happening except for wear and tear hope this cleared it up for ya

so what did you guys go with to raise the rear end of your trucks. I see on the Cornfed site that they have the AAL kits with different options for the shocks. I plan on ordering the Cornfed spacers but I want Bilstein 5100's for the rear, so I gotta find something else so I can complete my kit, cause it looks like they don't offer the 51s.

I used the aal w/1" longer shackles and the bilstein upgrade I am also considering the 51's for the rear just got to get my ARB lockers and gears installed first

Just out of curiosity.....what is the difference between the bilstein that cornfed offers, and the 5100's?

HD's are OE replacements. The 5100 series is for lifted suspensions.
It's confusing to me why Cornfed would sell the HD's over the 5100s, cause your lifting the truck, so I would'a thought the 5100s where necessary.
I'll stick with the 5100s though, cause that's what they where designed for, and it seems the hd's would be adequate, just not ideal.
Hoodlum, how did the aal make the ride feel. this is my only concern cause I had a Jeep a while back that gave me back pain cause I had such a hard suspension on it, but those where Rancho 9000s if I remember correctly.
I really can't stand the way the stock back end feels right now, so some more stiffness would be welcome, but I don't want it to be rock hard.

DUTCH I agree with ya and I actually like the set up I have now the ride is stiff but it's quality and even better with some weight in the back but I can't help but wonder about the 51's just too much $ to try out for the hell of it if I could find a used set cheap I would experiment

Since I have to start from scratch, then I'm going to do it the best way my money will allow for now. It's a better alternative than the Deaver spring pack I was originally thinking about putting on. Then I realized, I don't have money like that, so what the hell am I thinking. Someday, though, if I win that lotto, then it's Deavers in the rear and Donahoes up front with some Kaos too. I gotta start playing that lotto I see the 5100s for around $150 for the pair - www.wheelersoffroad.com/tacomaleafsprings.htm
