hI is there anyone out there that has the 2005 tacoma. I would like the hear what you think of the truck. my truck has only 950 km on it I just love it so far. I had the 2001 double cab trd prerunner. I like it but time for the 4x4. hope to here from you all ;D  |

I HAVE 05 TRD DOUBLE CAB V6 AUTO LONG BED AND OTHER GOODIES (700MILES). CAME FROME 00 LIMITED TACO TRD HEADERS, BLOWER, EXHAUST, AND CLUTCH. I LIKE THE TRUCK. MAYBE I HAVE TOO CAUSE I GAVE UP MY OTHER BEAST FOR IT. MISS MY SUNROOF, STICK SHIFT, AND BALLS OUT POWER. WHY TOYOTA DOESN'T OFFER MOON ROOFS IN 05 IS RETARDED. I DON'T LIKE THAT AND HOW THEY PUT 17'S AND BARELY ANY MEAT FOR TIRES, WINDSHIELD IS SMALLER. I LIKE THE POWER OUTLET IN BED, BED CONSTRUCTION, INCREASED WIDTH OVERALL, DOUBLE CAB, MORE STOCK RESPONSIVE POWER. I HAVE A TICKING NOISE @ IDLE AND WHEN ACCELERATING. THE DEALER CAN'T FIGURE IT OUT. U?

I've heard that, that ticking noise is normal, and will get quieter once the engine is broke in. BTW, Don't use synthetic oil until after 5k miles.
