Hi, Just bought a 2003 tacoma trd 4x4 ext cab 5 speed manual, green with 25,700 miles. Now I need some suggestions. I have always wanted and never had a winch. What is a good front bumper / winch combo. Also, what would be a good suspension lift. As lifts go, I would want something that was "barely" a lift. Nothing outrageous. How many inches would you suggest. Also, does a lift void factory warrenty? What elements of the drive train etc would a lift strain. Thanks in advance.

Not sure about the factory warranty - I never really have been - but there are few options you have for a lift. www.cornfedsuspension.com - They have a great spacer lift that goes from 1" to 3". I would suggest the 1" if you are looking for only a mild lift. That will put minimal, if any, strain on the front driveline (CVs specifically). Second, www.4crawler.com - Roger Brown offers a great body lift (don't freak - body lifts are well worth it) for a great price, and he is very knowledgeble. You can go from 1" to 3" there as well. Personally, I would choose the 1" or 2" lift for a body lift. Good luck, and let us know what you choose!

As far as a bumper and winch combo. The ARB bullbar is the best bumper out there. You can hit just about anything with it and the powdercoat will not flake off. It is also very, very strong. You can also fit just about any winch inside the bumper. It is very hard to remove the winch once installed so theft is not a worry. It also looks the way the trucks should of come from the factory.

You can always go with a good coilover to compensate for the added weight of the bumper and winch yet still keep the almost factory look.
