I think that just a couple of inches of lift would clear 32's. They might rub when flexing, or turning the wheel all the way, also depends on if you just want to clear just the tires, or lift it lots. chad

I want to actually want to go 6 inch but I have a 2WD 03 V6 and they say the biggest lift i can go 3" suspension. I hear mixed things about body lifts... what's you guys take on body lifts... What i really want to do is 3" suspension and around 3" body...

There's no issues with a good quality properly installed BL.
I have a 2" BL on my Runner along w/a 2" drive train and fuel tank lift.
It sees hard core rockcrawling and have had no problems.
A 2" BL is less complicated to install than a 3" kit.

Just get you a good set of coilovers and set them about 2 to 2.5" and put either a AAL or a shackle in the rear and you'll love it.

Some people run 32"s with no rubbing, I did.
I'm lifted 2" now with spacer lifts in the front and longer shackles in the back.

on my 86 4runner I run 32 1/4in. tires with no lift, and all I had to do was trim a little piece of useless plastic on the inner wheelwell to keep it from rubbing offroad ;D

I thought that the Tacomas didnt have torsion bar suspension and that they had coil springs. But I could be wrong.

If you have the stock 16" rims, you can run 265/75/16 tires with a bit of rubbing on the driver side frame rail at full lock. Other than that they work fine and air down good on the rim. You don't need a lift at all, but if you change the backspacing from the factory 4.5" to 4.25" or 4" you will need a lift. The tire will contact the front of the cab(pinch weld) too much with minimal flex. Just think about what it is you want to do first, then crack open the wallet.
