So basically I am looking for any advice, or suggestions on exactly where to start. I dont know what I should do first to my new 05 tacoma. I have yet to see any of the new ones like I have that already have been started to be worked on. I actually have yet to see my exact truck since I bought it. So I dont know if anyone else out there has already started any work on their own. If you have, or have any ideas, please reply.

Xanderpb, Congrats on the purchase. I sure would love one of those new Tacos. As for your upgrades, well that depends on what you want to do with your truck. Give us a little more to go on. Mud? Light trails? Rocks?

I'm on the same boat about to start putting goodies on the new Taco.. TIP on Wheels though.. the 05 Tacos have bigger calipers so be careful on the wheels you buy.. one good thing about it is that it stop faster..

I bought an '05 4x4 a few months back and am just starting to play with it. I looked at 3" s/l kits to do myself and am just trying to find some good, non wallet breaking tires to put on it. A local 4x4 shop here in charlotte said that just about any block s/l is good as long as they have a life warranty on them. Revtek runs about $325, TuffCounty about $260 and trailmaster is about $130 - all from Rocky Mountain - www.rockymountainsusp.com/toyota4_96+.htm. Good luck....

I put the Revtek on my rig and absolutely love it! I would recommend it to anyone.
