Hey i wanted to do a solid axle swap in my taco and i was wondering if anyone had done this and what they used. I was thinking about the dana 44 but i've heard its over rated. so any feedback on what to do would be great.

thye arent too bad the hardest thing is the steering. u have to get a steering box from a 86-95 toyota 4x4 and ditch the rack and pinion steering. as far as an axle either u make the t case drop to the pass side and use a toyota axle or u get a custom housing and use toyota stuff. or u can use a dana 44 from a 80s and newer jeep or ford, or use a ford dana 60.
