I'm getting a cat back system installed tomorrow and can't decide between a Borla muffler or Flowmaster 40 or 50 series. Would appreciate any comments on these two mufflers. Thanks in advance.

IMO the Flowmaster super 40 series is the better sounding one I've had both 40 series the reg and the super 40 the super 40 has a lower deeper tone to it. I can't say anything about Borla I've neve used one I've always use Flowmaster.

although borla is considered to be the "rich man's muffler" i personlally have the flowmaster 40 series....it just sounds better on the v6.

not sure about the sound, but the dynomax ultra flow ss muffler performs better than flowmasters, borla, and magnaflow ...or at least that's what the data indicated in the chart i saw a while back.
