where do i put my cb in a 96' taco

where should i put my cb radio in my taco. It was by my gear shifter but i couldn't let my passenger seat all the way up. It ain't small enough. I thought about monting it under the steering wheel but it is in the way of my leg. I also thought about on the passenger side under the dash, but couldn't find anything to screw to.

I mounted mine where the passenger airbag used to be. I cut the hole in the cover panel made a bracket(cause I lost the one that came with the cb) so just drill some holes through the bottom of the bracket and screw it to lower lip of the panel run the wires then re mount the panel. It took me longer to remove the airbag than it did to do the cb mount.

If its small enough, a lot of Tacoma owners are putting these small ones where the ashtray is. I have the Cobra 19IV and it fits like a glove where the ashtray is.
