Greetings,
I have an 03 auto 4x4 V6 D-Cab and have put in a Tranny cooler since I got warning lights on occasion (especially when towing). Since then it happens less often, but when I was climbing a steep trail I got the warning lights again--probably because I was revving high at slow speed and it was hot without wind. Does anybody use a separate tranny cooler fan or any other adaptation for this? By the way, the cooler is mounted down low behind my front skid plate since my winch bumper took up the space it normally is placed.

Hey Stew,
I'm glad you appreciate the pain and suffering that went into creating that picture. You will be happy to know that the cactus was not harmed in any way, and since it is not me, but one of my brothers who was posing, I did o.k. too.

I've had overheating problems in both 4-Hi and 4-Lo, and in circumstances when it started in 4-Hi, I've stopped to let it cool down before shifting into 4-Lo. Even so, it has recurred in 4-Lo on a couple of occasions. It also happened while I was on a trip with my clamper brethren and I was forced to put up with considerable  |
